It is perfectly normal to be nervous before a job interview. Though you are a well-experienced person when it comes to conversing with people at all levels, it is inevitable to feel the shivers of your nerves. · Focus your mind on images
Imagine a picture of peace or serenity. This would really put you in the right mind set by setting an atmosphere to think clearly and be more relaxed. This tends to be one of the most often used and most beneficial methods.
· Personal meditation
Breathe deeply like you exhale the all pessimism within you. Do this several times until you feel relief and can visualize the self-doubts leaving your body and mind.
· Carry a sweet memory
Choose a picture you like that would remind you of some inspiration in your life. You can even paste several of these in a notebook. Stare at it and recall beautiful memories. This will definitely provide needed inspiration for the interview.
· Take an oath of esteem
Remind yourself silently that you are the best for the job, that you can answer the questions and that you can be hired, if the job is indeed right for you. As in all aspects of life, being positive can absolutely move mountains and build hope.
Purposefully performing these activities before the interview will definitely ease your emotional burden. You are, after all, a mere human, and what your are feeling is quite natural.
