Is there a Spy, a Bully, a Gatekeeper, or a Buck-passer dragging you down in your office? Is your energy sapped every day by a fellow employee? It doesn’t have to be that way! I found an interesting video on Bnet.com by Business coach, Starla Sireno that provides some practical tips for keeping office politics positive in your working environment. This really is worth a look. Thank you Starla.
I know I have certainly experienced a negative boss…..a true politician that liked to gossip, liked to report back to superiors, liked to use her position to intimidate. It was certainly no fun. Eventually I received the opportunity to move on. I only wish I was more proactive in either changing the playing field in this work environment or making myself more available to get headhunted by the right employer. So my advise is to challenge yourself and get out there and dont stay in an environment that restricts you.
If you have found any ways to stay above office politics in your job or have a way that others can better handle the workplace environment I would love to hear from you.

True true - If I didnt spend half my day sorting out fights between staff I would be able to get some work done.
